Gugni Gill Panaich
Founder, Chair and CEO
Gugni Gill Panaich leads GYSK’s mission to expand access to electricity and improve lives in underserved communities. Raised in Africa and educated in India, she brings corporate leadership, energy entrepreneurship and a longstanding commitment to women’s empowerment and community welfare.
Her experience spans public-company governance, business administration, production and franchise ventures, and international relationships across Canada, India and Africa. She also serves as Chair, Director and Chief Administrative Officer of Valum Energy Ltd., supporting board oversight, organizational coordination and business execution. She was appointed to the board of Star Navigation Systems Group Ltd. in March 2026.
More about Gugni
Alongside her business career, Gugni has worked as an actress and producer in Punjabi cinema and supported philanthropic and community initiatives. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Delhi University and a diploma in Computer Science. Her connection to Africa informs GYSK’s focus on poverty alleviation, education and opportunities for women and families.
Gugni lives in Caledon with her husband and two sons. She enjoys travel, exploring new ventures and experiencing different cultures.

Gurdip Panaich
Director and COO
Gurdip (Gary) Panaich brings public-company leadership, corporate governance and hands-on business experience to GYSK. As Director and Chief Operating Officer, he supports the company’s operations, commercial relationships and the practical execution of its energy-access mission.
His career spans aviation technology, energy, real estate, franchise operations, accounting and tax services, and film production. He is Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Valum Energy Ltd., where his work focuses on company development, commercial relationships and technology commercialization.
More about Gurdip
Gary has served as Chairman of the Board and Chief Compliance Officer of Star Navigation Systems Group Ltd. and was appointed to the board of ImagineAR Inc. in June 2023. His entrepreneurial background includes 18 years in commercial, franchise and residential real estate, as well as ownership and operation of Panaich Productions.
A Humber College graduate, he served in the Canadian Forces and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. He received the Police Exemplary Service Medal in 2021.
